Uterine Manual Vacuum Aspiration (MVA)

Manual Vacuum Aspiration (MVA)

Uterine Evacuation with Manual Vacuum Aspiration (MVA) is a method in which a manual or a power-operated device is used to aspirate the contents of the uterus. This method is safer and is often less painful for patients than other uterine evacuation methods. Therefore, in most cases, patients may not require the use of anesthetics. Most importantly, MVA marks a lower risk of uterine perforation than general uterine evacuation methods.
